Dr. Mostafa I. Abuzeid is a distinguished Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and the Medical Director of the Henry Ford Center for Reproductive Medicine until 7/27/2025. With over four decades of clinical and academic experience in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, Dr. Abuzeid is internationally recognized for his pioneering contributions to assisted reproductive technologies (ART), minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and fertility preservation. He has served as a visiting professor and invited speaker at leading fertility societies across the Middle East, Europe, and North America, and continues to play a central role in advancing reproductive medicine globally.
Dr. Mostafa has served as Principal Investigator on numerous international clinical trials and investigator-initiated research projects funded by leading pharmaceutical organizations including Ferring, Organon and Serono Laboratories. His research focuses on improving outcomes in assisted reproduction, ovarian stimulation protocols, hysteroscopic and laparoscopic fertility surgery, and the management of complex uterine anomalies.
Dr. Mostafa is the author of more than 150 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and scientific abstracts in leading journals such as Fertility and Sterility, Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, Human Reproduction, and Gynecologic Surgery. His publications address key advancements in hysteroscopy, endometriosis management, reproductive surgery, and embryo transfer techniques. He also co-edited the textbook Advances in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Reproductive Surgery (CRC Taylor & Francis, 2021).
