Amanda serves as the Vice Chairman of Blue Ocean Health and is currently the Acting Chief Executive Officer. In her role, she oversees and manages several key entities, including First IVF Fertility Center, First IVF and Day Surgery Center, First Genomix, First Compounding, and Jumeirah American Clinic. Additionally, she is a shareholder director on the board of Fakih Reproductive Medicine Holdings, which owns Fakih IVF companies in the UAE, Qatar, and Oman.
Before joining Blue Ocean Health, Amanda was the Chief Administrative Officer for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). There, she managed an operating budget of $200 million.
In 2014, Amanda co-founded Viafet Genomics Laboratory, the first private genetics laboratory in Dubai and the first in the Middle East to achieve CAP accreditation for Next Generation Sequencing technology. She served as the General Manager of Viafet until 2018.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (with honors), a Master’s in Health Services Administration, and a Certificate in Public Health Genetics, all from the University of Michigan. She also completed an Administrative Fellowship in Hospital Administration at UCLA.
